Happy New Year.

It's good to write you for the first time in the new year. This time of the year when new decisions are made, new strategies, new resolutions and etc. Whilst all these are very good it's important not to forget what is most important  for the journey ahead.

Moses, the superman assigned by God to lead Gods very own people was not about to do so without asking Gods presence to go with him.

Exodus 33:15  And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

I want to point your attention to intentionally asking God to go with you into the year. He's always with you no doubt, however there is a side of God that walks with us and we experience when we ask Him to walk with us.

James 4:8a NKJV- 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

You're going to need God in everything you do this year and in as much as He has given us a promise of his presence; Pr.3: 6 says "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

To think of it,it wasn't necessary for Moses to have asked because God himself ordained that he should lead the Israelites. But he went ahead and asked for it and God honoured it by showing him His glory!

May you and I enjoy the presence of God as we proceed through the year in Jesus name. Amen!!

Happy New Year!!

With Peace,

Grace Adeniyi.

  1. Amen. Thanks Grace. You're right, there's a side of God that walks with us when we ask him to. It's unlike the general presence promised Christians. Beautiful.

    Happy new year.

The Black Bag

Running over from the end of the class where I was sitting to my course mate,I sat on the chair next to him as I placed his school bag on my legs. Staring at the bag for a while,I said, precious Holy Spirit please teach me a lesson from this bag. It was a black leather-like bag with patches on the side(some parts of the bag peeled off). As I starred at the bag I asked my course mate-How old is this bag? He said to me,its about a year old. Its amazing how people tend to defend their actions even before you make your comment(He was already giving me reasons the bag looked that old/tattered). I discovered the bag was too good to be that tattered at less than one year. That was the lesson right there: There are people who are strong and passionate, vibrant and active, with so much beauty radiating from their inside out. But then situations in life may rise up,some beyond human control, some at the mercy of human that could make someone as good as that black leather bag become so tattered li...

Lesson One: Knowing 'your' God

There are 7.4 billion people on earth. Findings say adults make 35,000 decisions daily while babies make 3000 decisions(you didn't know that, did you?). About 3.2 billion fall within the age range of 15-44years of age. Very few things bring life and excitement or enthusiasm like a new idea you think is so great. It could almost take all your attention and mind. You can almost have an 'action rush' , as you would go all the way out just to get your idea to come into reality. Note that an action rush is different from a 'steady build '. Like any other great thing in life, challenges, especially unprecedented will arise (many of them disrupting your plan!) I came to realize that nothing beats a person who not just has an idea but knows God. I got to this point in 2015 where I just had to settle to really find my God and grow my faith. What exactly does it mean to know God? Knowing God is like enlarging your understanding of God and establishing a personal strong be...

Gods word as our reality

If anything would go through our spirit to our soul and then to reality, its going to pass through our mind. And if anything is going to have an impact on the spirit it would go through the mind. And so the mind is the place where a thing really is made or mared. It's where we either get an headway or remain stranded/on the same spot/can't see a way. It's the battlefield as it's often put. 2Cor.10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; This passage makes us to see that imaginations and thoughts have a way of exhausting themselves above the knowledge of God in our minds and we are the ones to do the job of making sure the word of God is the status quo of our mind...finding out what the word of God says and making it preeminence over and above any other thought. re-enforcing what the word of God says. Capturing God's idea(word) in ou...
