Walking with God

Enoch walked steadily with God. And then one day he was simply gone: God took him. Genesis 5:24 MSG We all want benefits or rewards, something to show for what we are doing. After an academic year,a student wants to see that he is promoted to the next level, after all the times of studying. A parent wants to be sure they are not wasting their resources in a school that's not yielding as much results as they want. So also in our walk with God,we want to have things to show for it. We seek to have a proof that we truly are on the Lord's side. This actually is powerful because it means we are not about to waste our time and energy in a fruitless effort. However, the lesson for today is a shift of our minds from the results  to the walk we are meant to have with God. The anchor scripture for today talks about Enoch, who, walked with God,and the result he got?- He was no more. How unfathomable are the results that we get from walking with God that we would be shottchanging oursel

There is Hope for you.

For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.  Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;  Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant. Job 14:7‭-‬9 KJV We see from here that a man's Christian walk and life as a whole can be seen in the light of a tree. Today,I've brought a message of peace and hope by the reason of God's mercy. For there is hope for a tree, though it be cut down,it will spring forth again. When Christ was going to illustrate our relationship with the Father,he says in John 15:5 "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." We see that the Father prunes and cuts branches based on his assessment of what they are doing with their lifes and resources. He cuts off every branch in me that b

Are You Asking Right?

Are you really focusing on the right things when you are asked to ask for what we want? I use to have a restrain in prayer before now. It was more like a subconscious one. Even though I have always known that God is able to do ALL things,I often catch myself doubting when it comes to asking for certain things~ BIG THINGS . For some reason,it seemed they were too big for me to ask him. I guess I just felt they were too big for me to have. But I know better now. I realised that God didn't just say 'Ask and it shall be given unto you....' in Matthew 7:7 He said to Jeremiah in Jeremiah 33:3- 'Call unto me,and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which thou knowest not' God was literally defining the things he wanted Jeremiah to ask for... great things and mighty . God was telling him that in as much as there are things which seem great and mighty to him, that He ,God ,will reveal them to him if he asked him to. Daughter of God,Son if God, are you

Gods word as our reality

If anything would go through our spirit to our soul and then to reality, its going to pass through our mind. And if anything is going to have an impact on the spirit it would go through the mind. And so the mind is the place where a thing really is made or mared. It's where we either get an headway or remain stranded/on the same spot/can't see a way. It's the battlefield as it's often put. 2Cor.10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; This passage makes us to see that imaginations and thoughts have a way of exhausting themselves above the knowledge of God in our minds and we are the ones to do the job of making sure the word of God is the status quo of our mind...finding out what the word of God says and making it preeminence over and above any other thought. re-enforcing what the word of God says. Capturing God's idea(word) in ou

Spirit Pattern

Good evening everyone. It's been quite a while I was active here. I got to pen this post down yesterday evening and I trust it'd bless you as much as it blessed me. God has pattern. Specific patterns for specific things he embarks on. When he would build  the ark,he demanded a certain pattern. When he would form you in your mother's womb,he had a special pattern for you as well as for me. In the understanding of this,David said in Psalm 139- "you know me inside and out,you know every bone in my body;you know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,how I was sculptured from nothing into something..." As much as knowing what you were made for is crucial, identifying and understanding the route to take is very important as well. Many have thought less of themselves, lost hope, and self esteem, lost faith and wasted time, become hateful and critical, because they have routed paths that were not exactly designed for them;paths that were not exactly structured for their pers

Meddling?

According to the  Webster Dictionary, to meddle means to interest oneself in what is not one's concern. We live in a time and age where compromise is almost the order of the day. And especially because the concept of 'grace' has been  quite extreme, there's been a lopsided way of life. Grace in itself makes us warriors for us to uphold the standard of God  2Tim.2:4 says  Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. Some of us Christians are awear of the things that are not in keeping with truly walking with God and yet continuing in it with the pride of heart that you know God to an extent. And whilst God is a merciful God,youd be a joker to expect him to entrust parts of him to you if  you keep handling your knowledge of him in unrighteousness. There are areas of God and depts of him that we may never be able to access because of this. Our walk with God is suppose to be a continual an

Thankfulness

Life can get so boring, especially when you are fixed in a routine, and you're just at that point where all you want to do is break out. I mean, try out something out of the norm, like eat a different kind of food,or have a break from your stressful work,or simply get to see and relate with a whole new set of people. This was somewhat the case with the Israelites in Num11:31-35. Numbers 11:31-35- 31  Now a  wind went out from the  Lord , and it brought quail from the sea and left  them  fluttering near the camp, about a day’s journey on this side and about a day’s journey on the other side, all around the camp, and about two cubits above the surface of the ground.  32  And the people stayed up all that day, all night, and all the next day, and gathered the quail (he who gathered least gathered ten  homers); and they spread  them  out for themselves all around the camp.  33  But while the  meat  was  still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of the  Lord  was aroused

Witnessing

Its going to be quite a long post but just follow me and we'll get to a good end.😃😄 I want to share with you about ' WITNESSING '. It's probably not an attractive word but it's exactly what stuck to mind when I needed to write this post. Witnessing simply means to proclaim the message of God's kingdom. Another name for this is Evangelism. In my opinion, this is one of the things we Christians think twice before we set out to do. With many thoughts running through our head like : what am I going to say? What if I'm not received well? Its not my thing to just bump into people that way.. what if the person abuses or embarasses  me? Somewhere in our mind, its like we have a fear of been rejected . Well,i think all these are necessary questions and worries, however they are reflections of the mindset we have. Evangelism isint about us persay, its about Christ. It isint about our personality or social status. It shouldn't be about our fears and worries

Happy New Year.

It's good to write you for the first time in the new year. This time of the year when new decisions are made, new strategies, new resolutions and etc. Whilst all these are very good it's important not to forget what is most important  for the journey ahead. Moses, the superman assigned by God to lead Gods very own people was not about to do so without asking Gods presence to go with him. Exodus 33:15   And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. I want to point your attention to intentionally asking God to go with you into the year. He's always with you no doubt, however there is a side of God that walks with us and we experience when we ask Him to walk with us. James 4:8a NKJV- 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  You're going to need God in everything you do this year and in as much as He has given us a promise of his presence; Pr.3: 6 says "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.&qu
