God still does mighty things.

God is still doing mighty things. I love that I am actually saying this. I write this as my reality, my definition of God in my reality.   This year 2020 has really been a difficult year for the world at large because of the COVID-19 pandemic. EVERY single person had to have a lifestyle change in some way or the other. Worst still, many lost their lives, which is so saddening. But what does God expect of us in this season? Something that is not so in order with the human reasoning, which is ‘ thanksgiving’   1Thes5:18 says- ‘In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.’   I am really just thankful for the good, the not so good and everything In-between.   I am so much grateful for the possibilities that God gave me to crown up this year. This last quarter of the year is really when I have come to know God in an amazing way. Basically, my story is like that of the three Hebrew boys in ….Dan.3:16-18. who were desirous of staying on Gods side but

God's Speakings.

And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: – Genesis 26:2 Isaac was one of those bible characters that had a life patterned after the voice of God. He was about to leave where he was resident for another country because of the famine they were experiencing in the country where he resided. However, his plan was interrupted by God's voice. I'm intrigued by the fact that God specifically said He will tell him where to dwell. This challenges me because I've had this desire and still desire to have that "hearing relationship" with God. I see this and believe God wants all His loved children to actually have that kind of relationship with Him. God wants to tell everyone of His sons and daughters something, however, not everyone is going to hear Him because not everyone has trained themselves to do so. All the time, for all situations in our lives, the Lord is willing to tell us something. The questio

That I many know him 4: Jesus was a Family Man!

The last few posts have been about knowing Jesus. Today, I want to share further on this and I pray this would bless you greatly in Jesus name, Amen. Phil.3:10a: "That I may know him, " So Jesus, seeing His mother, and the disciple whom He loved (esteemed) standing near, said to His mother, “[Dear] woman, look, [here is] your son!”  Then He said to the disciple (John), “Look! [here is] your mother [protect and provide for her]!” From that hour the disciple took her into his own home. John 19:26‭-‬27 AMP One of the things that amaze me in the life of Jesus was the compassion he has;not just for the masses but for family. While he had been crucified, he looked upon his mother and handed her over to someone to take care of her. He didn't hand her over to just anybody, but to the disciple he loved, who was John! Jesus, here, exemplifies the kind of attention to be given to family. God has awesomely been in the business of family for a long time coming. So, whatsup with family?

That I may know Him 3.

Phil.3:10a: " That I may know him, " Jn.18:33-40. 33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? 34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? 35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. 38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault a

THAT I MAY KNOW HIM 2: Jesus, the Possibilitarian

Last week, we started a study on Philippians 3:10  "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death. We looked at Jesus as the "author" and "finisher" of our faith. That he who has started a thing in us is well able to bring it to past, and so we should rest in Him. This day, we see the person of Jesus from a story in the bible. Matt17:24 When they had come to Capernaum, those who received the temple tax came to Peter and said, “Does your Teacher not pay the temple tax?” 25He said, “Yes.”And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from strangers?” 26Peter said to Him, “From strangers.”Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are free.  27Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have

THAT I MAY KNOW HIM 1: Author and Finisher

Philippians 3:10  "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;" This prayer was made by Apostle Paul and is a very deep one. We will focus on the first part of it- "that I may know Him" Jesus is a lot of things to a lot of people. Some know him on theory basis, while some have experienced his workings in their lives. Today, I will share about Jesus as the "author" and "finisher". Hebrews 12:2a New King James Version 2 " looking unto Jesus, the author and [b]finisher of our faith, " Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith. As one justified by God, the Lord says we should live by faith. meaning, taking steps based on what the written or the spoken word of God says. Now, when a believer takes steps in line with the word, things may not fall immediately in line as one would expect, and often times, because we are humans, we may begin to bother

Treasures

Isiah45:3 {NLT} And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness—     secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.  The word of God makes us to know that the earth, the world, as a whole is covered with darkness, according to Isaiah 60:2a - " See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, "  This automatically means that before anyone was born at all, the earth swam in darkness and so by default, we live in a world that is dark. But scripture says that light shines in darkness and darkness can't comprehend it. Jesus is this Light that shines in darkness. If you do not have Jesus in your life, I urge you to ask Him in now to be your Lord and Savior. The anchor scripture for today let's us into an important matter, that there are treasures hidden in this dark world, that only God can reveal to an individual. Now, this doesn't have to be some 22 karate gold piece, No!

ENGRAVENED

I’ve just come here to remind you,  that the Lord has your  face at the very palm of his hand, right in front of him.     Isiah 49:16 (NIV) ‘see I have engraven you on the palm of my hands, your walls are ever before me.’   Ah, when somebody says your walls are ever before me, this means they see all your extensions, everything that you are. More like, those parts of you that are really private(good and bad). those parts of you that you’d rather no one comes to mess up so that your peace can be very intact, those parts of you that you are just really seeking to understand. Those parts of you that you are really seeking meaning for. Those parts of you that you are unclear what the Father is saying. Those parts of you that you really can’t articulate into words. Those things you really need or desire that is just out of your reach for some reason or the other. Those hidden thoughts and desires. This wall thing just appears to me like a literal wall that is a compartment of
