The Person of Jesus

Its so beautiful the works that Jesus did for the world; the transformation he has brought to humanity.

Hebrews 7:26  says - For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens.
One of the things thats amazing about Jesus are the words used to describe his person.  The quality of a thing most times is determined by who presents it. The person qualifies the gift. Jesus is described as  holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners and made higher than the heavens.

What does Holy mean?
Holy means dedicated or consecrated to God or a religious purpose; sacred.
The Hebrew word for holy is “qodesh” and means “apartness, set-apartness, separateness, sacredness”

What does harmless mean?
Harmless - without the power or desire to do harm;innocuous:    unable or unlikely to hurt anyone or cause damage
Something that is harmless does not have any bad effects, especially on people's health.

What does undefiled mean?
Undefiled - free from stain or blemish;
having no faults; sinless;not polluted or made dirty

Now, this high priest, which is Jesus, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners and higher than the heaven actually became us, took our place before God. And so, I present before God, you present before God as holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners and higher than the heavens.
Glory To God

Hebrews 7:19  For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Jesus is the better hope that makes all things perfect. And so, by Jesus, we, by ourselves, not needing anyone to go on our behalf, can go before God. And not just go before him, but build a relationship with him. Such that he is accessible at all times; this is exactly what the law could not achieve:Relationship. What is perfect is that anyone can have a relationship with God.

This direct relationship, that Jesus has afforded humanity, is the ONLY valid and legit means through which ANYONE can draw near to God.
Simply because he made the perfect sacrifice.

God bless you.

Doors Do Open

Have you ever felt like you have exhausted all of your options and you can’t seem to find a way out?  Or you know that there is more that can be out of a case you are on? I can’t imagine what the widow whose husband left some debts for her to pay before he died must have gone through. Wait, you think all that happened is all there is. In the sense, you have pressed all your buttons and made all your moves. Knocked all the doors you know and made the calls. You now think its over. You think there’s no way out again? Be there! You seem to have forgotten so quick that God is the one that makes things happen. Look at the widow whose husband left her in debt. She was broke. No money no possession my sons up for sale kindof broke. Her two sons were going to be taken captive to pay for the debts that was on ground. Of course she was devastated. She had no possession to sell to get some money. The only thing she knew to do was to go meet Elisha who her husband served with. ...

Thankfulness

Life can get so boring, especially when you are fixed in a routine, and you're just at that point where all you want to do is break out. I mean, try out something out of the norm, like eat a different kind of food,or have a break from your stressful work,or simply get to see and relate with a whole new set of people. This was somewhat the case with the Israelites in Num11:31-35. Numbers 11:31-35- 31  Now a  wind went out from the  Lord , and it brought quail from the sea and left  them  fluttering near the camp, about a day’s journey on this side and about a day’s journey on the other side, all around the camp, and about two cubits above the surface of the ground.  32  And the people stayed up all that day, all night, and all the next day, and gathered the quail (he who gathered least gathered ten  homers); and they spread  them  out for themselves all around the camp.  33  But while the  meat  was  still between ...

God's Speakings.

And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: – Genesis 26:2 Isaac was one of those bible characters that had a life patterned after the voice of God. He was about to leave where he was resident for another country because of the famine they were experiencing in the country where he resided. However, his plan was interrupted by God's voice. I'm intrigued by the fact that God specifically said He will tell him where to dwell. This challenges me because I've had this desire and still desire to have that "hearing relationship" with God. I see this and believe God wants all His loved children to actually have that kind of relationship with Him. God wants to tell everyone of His sons and daughters something, however, not everyone is going to hear Him because not everyone has trained themselves to do so. All the time, for all situations in our lives, the Lord is willing to tell us something. The questio...
