FOCUS N or P

I’m sure you are wondering by now, what does focus N or P mean?

Yeah,its worth the think.
I’m sure you are familiar with the way a camera works, at least to some extent. The android phone/iPhone users can own this complement.
You’ld often realize that some pictures don’t come out ‘fine’ or clear because whoever was behind the phone did not focus it right. Having seen the picture, you be like ‘omg this picture is blurry’.
How many have friends who take blurry pictures (winks.)- this is by the way.(I do that sometimes).
Youl’d realize that one or two taps on your android phone makes the image much clearer.

For my photographer folks, a gentle turn of that Nickon D3300’s focus ring  and or zoom ring would give a perfect picture.

Just like a camera can produce both positive and negative images, so also our minds, based on our focus.

In Numbers 13:30-31, Caleb and Joshua happen to bring back a good report as compared to the report of the other representatives that were told to go spy the promise land by Moses. For this reason, only Caleb and Joshua were the only ones from age 20 and above, simply because they saw something different about the land. They had a different focus. Probably they saw a land that they could raise a building on whilst the others saw a land with no building. They had a focus P and not a focus N.

We can decide to place our focus on what has/is going wrong or what has/is going right. We can choose to put our trust in God for things to turn out in our favor or to keep worrying ourselves out. We can choose to see obstacles or opportunities. The story of the different reports brought from the promise land makes me see that even when things are obviously not going the way we desire,we don't have to let that define the image we carry in out minds.

I challenge you today to have a focus P for every situation that may come your way, that you may experience great possibilities.

Doors Do Open

Have you ever felt like you have exhausted all of your options and you can’t seem to find a way out?  Or you know that there is more that can be out of a case you are on? I can’t imagine what the widow whose husband left some debts for her to pay before he died must have gone through. Wait, you think all that happened is all there is. In the sense, you have pressed all your buttons and made all your moves. Knocked all the doors you know and made the calls. You now think its over. You think there’s no way out again? Be there! You seem to have forgotten so quick that God is the one that makes things happen. Look at the widow whose husband left her in debt. She was broke. No money no possession my sons up for sale kindof broke. Her two sons were going to be taken captive to pay for the debts that was on ground. Of course she was devastated. She had no possession to sell to get some money. The only thing she knew to do was to go meet Elisha who her husband served with. ...

Gods word as our reality

If anything would go through our spirit to our soul and then to reality, its going to pass through our mind. And if anything is going to have an impact on the spirit it would go through the mind. And so the mind is the place where a thing really is made or mared. It's where we either get an headway or remain stranded/on the same spot/can't see a way. It's the battlefield as it's often put. 2Cor.10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; This passage makes us to see that imaginations and thoughts have a way of exhausting themselves above the knowledge of God in our minds and we are the ones to do the job of making sure the word of God is the status quo of our mind...finding out what the word of God says and making it preeminence over and above any other thought. re-enforcing what the word of God says. Capturing God's idea(word) in ou...

The Black Bag

Running over from the end of the class where I was sitting to my course mate,I sat on the chair next to him as I placed his school bag on my legs. Staring at the bag for a while,I said, precious Holy Spirit please teach me a lesson from this bag. It was a black leather-like bag with patches on the side(some parts of the bag peeled off). As I starred at the bag I asked my course mate-How old is this bag? He said to me,its about a year old. Its amazing how people tend to defend their actions even before you make your comment(He was already giving me reasons the bag looked that old/tattered). I discovered the bag was too good to be that tattered at less than one year. That was the lesson right there: There are people who are strong and passionate, vibrant and active, with so much beauty radiating from their inside out. But then situations in life may rise up,some beyond human control, some at the mercy of human that could make someone as good as that black leather bag become so tattered li...
