Faithfulness

Today I want to share something about faithfulness.

Faithfulness, according to google,  is the concept of unfailingly remaining loyal to someone or something, and putting that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of extenuating circumstances. Literally, it is the state of being full of faith in the sense of steady devotion to a person, thing or concept.

In my understanding, it is being consistently committed to a course or person regardless of what comes your way.

I want to focus on the things that we have been called to do or the things that we find per time to do. Sometimes we can get so lackadaisical about stuff when no one is watching or when others are playing their part. Sometimes its really because we don’t have enough drive to do what we really want to do. Sometimes, factors beyond our control can be the cause. Sometimes its because we have not exactly decided to take up responsibility by ourselves. Sometimes we don’t have knowledge enough to carry through with things. Sometimes its because we have not learned the art or because we don’t put the end goal in mind. Sometimes we look over the fence and since someone isn’t doing things, we are also not going to.
David was faithful in tending his father’s sheep and in playing his harp. The bible makes it clear that it was one of King Saul’s servants that recommended David to play for the king. Little did he know that his days of playing the harp on the field would give way for him someday to appear before the king. David was so faithful with his father’s sheep that he went the extra mile to kill bears and lions for  the sheep. And then he stayed faithful to the king such that even though he had a chance to take the life of the king, he did not.
Faithfulness will require standing even in the toughest of situations. It involves standing firm or sticking to a course regardless of the test of time that comes. Its very important that the courses is a right one.
Modecai in the bible is another example of someone who was faithful to the king.-(Esther.2:21-23). He was later rewarded for this in 1kings.6:1-11 by the King.

The story of thr talents in the bible paints a beautiful picture of been faithful.
Matthew 25: 19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’
21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
22 “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

So faithfulness requires us to go the extra mile in ensuring that what has been placed into our hands is well done.
Sometimes we feel like some things are too little to stay faithful at, however I think one of the things we should always ask God for is to help us see the little things we ought to be faithful with so that we do not miss out on him been happy with us. The servant who hid the one talent he was given most definitely felt that that one was too little. But the very little things we work at, multiply to bring abundance.
This blog is one of the things I know I need to be faithful about. I remember having to type out my posts even when I did not have a laptop to use to upload them online. The deal has been to out up something every week on the blog so for me it was a test of whether or not I would write even if it didn’t get  the blog. I’m glad I did write even though I didnt feel like it sometimes. But then its more of a refocus call for me as my mind has been travelling up and down lately. Focus is another word that can be used to describe this I believe.
Reassessing the things that are taking your attention or energy and eliminating the excesses just to be very faithful to the important things to your life.

Apostle Paul said- Phil.3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

  1. This piece is a blessing. Jesus tagged some as having great faith and others as having little faith. The level of our faith determines our fate. More wisdom doctor.

Doors Do Open

Have you ever felt like you have exhausted all of your options and you can’t seem to find a way out?  Or you know that there is more that can be out of a case you are on? I can’t imagine what the widow whose husband left some debts for her to pay before he died must have gone through. Wait, you think all that happened is all there is. In the sense, you have pressed all your buttons and made all your moves. Knocked all the doors you know and made the calls. You now think its over. You think there’s no way out again? Be there! You seem to have forgotten so quick that God is the one that makes things happen. Look at the widow whose husband left her in debt. She was broke. No money no possession my sons up for sale kindof broke. Her two sons were going to be taken captive to pay for the debts that was on ground. Of course she was devastated. She had no possession to sell to get some money. The only thing she knew to do was to go meet Elisha who her husband served with. ...

Gods word as our reality

If anything would go through our spirit to our soul and then to reality, its going to pass through our mind. And if anything is going to have an impact on the spirit it would go through the mind. And so the mind is the place where a thing really is made or mared. It's where we either get an headway or remain stranded/on the same spot/can't see a way. It's the battlefield as it's often put. 2Cor.10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; This passage makes us to see that imaginations and thoughts have a way of exhausting themselves above the knowledge of God in our minds and we are the ones to do the job of making sure the word of God is the status quo of our mind...finding out what the word of God says and making it preeminence over and above any other thought. re-enforcing what the word of God says. Capturing God's idea(word) in ou...

Happy New Year.

It's good to write you for the first time in the new year. This time of the year when new decisions are made, new strategies, new resolutions and etc. Whilst all these are very good it's important not to forget what is most important  for the journey ahead. Moses, the superman assigned by God to lead Gods very own people was not about to do so without asking Gods presence to go with him. Exodus 33:15   And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. I want to point your attention to intentionally asking God to go with you into the year. He's always with you no doubt, however there is a side of God that walks with us and we experience when we ask Him to walk with us. James 4:8a NKJV- 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  You're going to need God in everything you do this year and in as much as He has given us a promise of his presence; Pr.3: 6 says "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths....
