Faithfulness

Today I want to share something about faithfulness.

Faithfulness, according to google,  is the concept of unfailingly remaining loyal to someone or something, and putting that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of extenuating circumstances. Literally, it is the state of being full of faith in the sense of steady devotion to a person, thing or concept.

In my understanding, it is being consistently committed to a course or person regardless of what comes your way.

I want to focus on the things that we have been called to do or the things that we find per time to do. Sometimes we can get so lackadaisical about stuff when no one is watching or when others are playing their part. Sometimes its really because we don’t have enough drive to do what we really want to do. Sometimes, factors beyond our control can be the cause. Sometimes its because we have not exactly decided to take up responsibility by ourselves. Sometimes we don’t have knowledge enough to carry through with things. Sometimes its because we have not learned the art or because we don’t put the end goal in mind. Sometimes we look over the fence and since someone isn’t doing things, we are also not going to.
David was faithful in tending his father’s sheep and in playing his harp. The bible makes it clear that it was one of King Saul’s servants that recommended David to play for the king. Little did he know that his days of playing the harp on the field would give way for him someday to appear before the king. David was so faithful with his father’s sheep that he went the extra mile to kill bears and lions for  the sheep. And then he stayed faithful to the king such that even though he had a chance to take the life of the king, he did not.
Faithfulness will require standing even in the toughest of situations. It involves standing firm or sticking to a course regardless of the test of time that comes. Its very important that the courses is a right one.
Modecai in the bible is another example of someone who was faithful to the king.-(Esther.2:21-23). He was later rewarded for this in 1kings.6:1-11 by the King.

The story of thr talents in the bible paints a beautiful picture of been faithful.
Matthew 25: 19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’
21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
22 “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

So faithfulness requires us to go the extra mile in ensuring that what has been placed into our hands is well done.
Sometimes we feel like some things are too little to stay faithful at, however I think one of the things we should always ask God for is to help us see the little things we ought to be faithful with so that we do not miss out on him been happy with us. The servant who hid the one talent he was given most definitely felt that that one was too little. But the very little things we work at, multiply to bring abundance.
This blog is one of the things I know I need to be faithful about. I remember having to type out my posts even when I did not have a laptop to use to upload them online. The deal has been to out up something every week on the blog so for me it was a test of whether or not I would write even if it didn’t get  the blog. I’m glad I did write even though I didnt feel like it sometimes. But then its more of a refocus call for me as my mind has been travelling up and down lately. Focus is another word that can be used to describe this I believe.
Reassessing the things that are taking your attention or energy and eliminating the excesses just to be very faithful to the important things to your life.

Apostle Paul said- Phil.3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

  1. This piece is a blessing. Jesus tagged some as having great faith and others as having little faith. The level of our faith determines our fate. More wisdom doctor.

The Black Bag

Running over from the end of the class where I was sitting to my course mate,I sat on the chair next to him as I placed his school bag on my legs. Staring at the bag for a while,I said, precious Holy Spirit please teach me a lesson from this bag. It was a black leather-like bag with patches on the side(some parts of the bag peeled off). As I starred at the bag I asked my course mate-How old is this bag? He said to me,its about a year old. Its amazing how people tend to defend their actions even before you make your comment(He was already giving me reasons the bag looked that old/tattered). I discovered the bag was too good to be that tattered at less than one year. That was the lesson right there: There are people who are strong and passionate, vibrant and active, with so much beauty radiating from their inside out. But then situations in life may rise up,some beyond human control, some at the mercy of human that could make someone as good as that black leather bag become so tattered li...

FOCUS N or P

I’m sure you are wondering by now, what does focus N or P mean? Yeah, its worth the think. I’m sure you are familiar with the way a camera works, at least to some extent. The android phone/iPhone users can own this complement. You’ld often realize that some pictures don’t come out ‘fine’ or clear because whoever was behind the phone did not focus it right. Having seen the picture, you be like ‘omg this picture is blurry’. How many have friends who take blurry pictures (winks.)- this is by the way.(I do that sometimes). Youl’d realize that one or two taps on your android phone makes the image much clearer. For my photographer folks, a gentle turn of that Nickon D3300’s focus ring  and or zoom ring would give a perfect picture.  Just like a camera can produce both positive and negative images, so also our minds, based on our focus. In Numbers 13:30-31, Caleb and Joshua happen to bring back a good report as compared to the report of the other representati...

#misfit

Attachments area Preview attachment IMG4F8C It was one of those days in September (2015). I had this outfit on to class. I sure did feel good and confident in it :) . I'm getting to class and couple of my group mate are amazed! (that expression between shock and cool). Yeah! I've never really dressed in that kind of style before. .... As I walked down the street,I actually did think about people been surprised at my outfit for the day. But then,I thought, this may not be my conventional style but someone will see me and get very comfortable been his/herself. Why?- someone else can resonate with their style. That alone gave me some more confidence with every step I took. Every other person is classy and elegant but you are bohemian  Every other person is corporate but you are casual Everyone seems to have it all figured out but you are lost. Everyone seems to be short but you are tall Everyone seems to be doing life big but you can't st...
