The Black Bag

Running over from the end of the class where I was sitting to my course mate,I sat on the chair next to him as I placed his school bag on my legs. Staring at the bag for a while,I said, precious Holy Spirit please teach me a lesson from this bag. It was a black leather-like bag with patches on the side(some parts of the bag peeled off). As I starred at the bag I asked my course mate-How old is this bag? He said to me,its about a year old. Its amazing how people tend to defend their actions even before you make your comment(He was already giving me reasons the bag looked that old/tattered). I discovered the bag was too good to be that tattered at less than one year. That was the lesson right there: There are people who are strong and passionate, vibrant and active, with so much beauty radiating from their inside out. But then situations in life may rise up,some beyond human control, some at the mercy of human that could make someone as good as that black leather bag become so tattered like one without purpose,or even direction. Now,here is the point :
On meeting this individual or discovering this individual, you would be changing a life to believe in them once again and help them rise.
The truth is, so many people have been crippled with their past.
Though there are strong willed people, everyone needs compassion. That's what makes you a true friend, that's what makes you a true leader, that's one way your light can shine.

Matt.5:16-In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

No matter the scars and heartbreaks,it doesn’t stop that person from being that vibrant one. Scars are products of courage. They are the results of strong hearts that have been broken yet healed up to function better.

'You are enough to mend a broken heart.’

Never underestimate the influence of your little impact. You are enough to mend a broken heart.

  1. Yeah that is right. The only difference is that I strongly believe one can prevent painful experiences to a certain extent; people believe experience is the best teacher but I build on the opposite....

    1. Its very true @tomyke,painful experiences can be prevented to a large extent, but come to think of it,is it possible to live your whole life without painful experiences?I think painful experiences are ineveitable but one can decide to live without regrets.

Also, how about thinking of experience as positive?I mean positive experiences. #winks :)

My Beloved

If you would let me walk through the corners of your heart   I will take the thorns away with anesthesia enough to take you through I will shine my light in the path for your eyes to see and your feet to walk I will wrap you round in the warmth of my embrace From the cold that gives you frost bite in the feet and a chest pain even on a warm day I know you let some love in the left you broken And now it’s difficult to catch the pieces that remain because your strength is gone I see it all in your eyes, Even though you try to make it seem like you have it all together You have been bought with a prize I took all the brakes in my heart to see you whole I got striped and left in the cold so you could find warmth in me (would be hid in me and stay warm) I’m not about to let you go through all that trauma (again). I did it already, for you, for all So that when you pass through the rivers, you will have me around When you pass though waters, it ...

Meddling?

According to the  Webster Dictionary, to meddle means to interest oneself in what is not one's concern. We live in a time and age where compromise is almost the order of the day. And especially because the concept of 'grace' has been  quite extreme, there's been a lopsided way of life. Grace in itself makes us warriors for us to uphold the standard of God  2Tim.2:4 says  Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. Some of us Christians are awear of the things that are not in keeping with truly walking with God and yet continuing in it with the pride of heart that you know God to an extent. And whilst God is a merciful God,youd be a joker to expect him to entrust parts of him to you if  you keep handling your knowledge of him in unrighteousness. There are areas of God and depts of him that we may never be able to access because of this. Our walk with God is suppo...

Faithfulness

Today I want to share something about faithfulness. Faithfulness, according to google,  is the concept of unfailingly remaining  loyal  to someone or something, and putting that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of extenuating circumstances. Literally, it is the state of being full of  faith  in the sense of steady devotion to a person, thing or concept. In my understanding, it is being consistently committed to a course or person regardless of what comes your way. I want to focus on the things that we have been called to do or the things that we find per time to do. Sometimes we can get so lackadaisical about stuff when no one is watching or when others are playing their part. Sometimes its really because we don’t have enough drive to do what we really want to do. Sometimes, factors beyond our control can be the cause. Sometimes its because we have not exactly decided to take up responsibility by ourselves. Sometimes we don’t have knowledge ...
