GIVIVNG GOD THE BEST

There is one thing that stood out for King Solomon in the bible and this was the fact that he gave God the best.

What does the best mean?

“of the most excellent or desirable type or quality.”

“to the highest degree”

“that which is the most excellent, outstanding, or desirable.”

“of the highest quality, or being the most suitable, pleasing, or effective type of thing or person”

In order words, giving God our best is giving him the most excellent or desirable per time, or the highest degree of a thing.

This will mean different things for all of us per time but will mean the same thing to God.

Ø Solomon gave the best of materials and even craftsmen in order to build the temple of God according to 2Chronicles.3:10-15.

Ø David, his father gave God one of the best things ever- 2Samuel. 23:15-17

Ø God gave humanity his best in Jesus- John.3:16

Ø When Jesus will teach us about offering in the new testament, he said the woman who gave two very small copper coin gave more than those who gave seemingly substantial things. Mark 12:41-44

44 ”They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.””

Ø What re you giving God? Our best? The best version of ourselves?

Doors Do Open

Have you ever felt like you have exhausted all of your options and you can’t seem to find a way out? Or you know that there is more that can be out of a case you are on? I can’t imagine what the widow whose husband left some debts for her to pay before he died must have gone through. Wait, you think all that happened is all there is. In the sense, you have pressed all your buttons and made all your moves. Knocked all the doors you know and made the calls. You now think its over. You think there’s no way out again? Be there! You seem to have forgotten so quick that God is the one that makes things happen. Look at the widow whose husband left her in debt. She was broke. No money no possession my sons up for sale kindof broke. Her two sons were going to be taken captive to pay for the debts that was on ground. Of course she was devastated. She had no possession to sell to get some money. The only thing she knew to do was to go meet Elisha who her husband served with. ...

Happy New Year.

It's good to write you for the first time in the new year. This time of the year when new decisions are made,new strategies,new resolutions and etc. Whilst all these are very good it's important not to forget what is most important for the journey ahead. Moses, the superman assigned by God to lead Gods very own people was not about to do so without asking Gods presence to go with him. Exodus 33:15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. I want to point your attention to intentionally asking God to go with you into the year. He's always with you no doubt,however there is a side of God that walks with us and we experience when we ask Him to walk with us. James 4:8a NKJV- 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. You're going to need God in everything you do this year and in as much as He has given us a promise of his presence; Pr.3: 6 says "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths....
