GRACE & SERVICE

Long time no post. How have you all been? Great, I believe.

I came across a bible  scripture that struck a cord, and It was impressed in my heart to share it here. Here it is:

'Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.’ Heb.11:28 NKJV

Service to God is one of those things that is emphasized in Christian communities,  as its a way of expressing our love to God. Scripture also mandates us to abide unto every good works. It says that we are created for good works, a workman that needs  not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.(2Tim.2:15)

 Many people were born into a Christian family in which attending church service is the norm and participating in one role or another was probably the norm. Some other persons find themselves in church haven received the life of Jesus. And there are many who get offended while service, tired with serving, etc.

  Heb. 11:28 reveals that the kind of service to be offered to God is one that is acceptable, and offered with reverence and godly fear. And this kind of service cannot be given by an individuals ability. There is a grace that makes a man to not just serve God but do so acceptable and in reverence and godly fear.

 You and I need grace to serve God acceptably.

1Cor.3:13: Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

 May God help us all in Jesus name.

The Black Bag

Running over from the end of the class where I was sitting to my course mate,I sat on the chair next to him as I placed his school bag on my legs. Staring at the bag for a while,I said, precious Holy Spirit please teach me a lesson from this bag. It was a black leather-like bag with patches on the side(some parts of the bag peeled off). As I starred at the bag I asked my course mate-How old is this bag? He said to me,its about a year old. #misfit

Attachments area Preview attachment IMG4F8C It was one of those days in September (2015). I had this outfit on to class. I sure did feel good and confident in it :) . I'm getting to class and couple of my group mate are amazed! (that expression between shock and cool). Yeah! I've never really dressed in that kind of style before. .... As I walked down the street,I actually did think about people been surprised at my outfit for the day. But then,I thought,this may not be my conventional style but someone will see me and get very comfortable been his/herself. FOCUS N or P

I’m sure you are wondering by now, what does focus N or P mean? Yeah,its worth the think. I’m sure you are familiar with the way a camera works, at least to some extent. The android phone/iPhone users can own this complement. You’ld often realize that some pictures don’t come out ‘fine’ or clear because whoever was behind the phone did not focus it right. Having seen the picture, you be like ‘omg this picture is blurry’. How many have friends who take blurry pictures (winks.)- this is by the way.(I do that sometimes). Youl’d realize that one or two taps on your android phone makes the image much clearer. For my photographer folks, a gentle turn of that Nickon D3300’s focus ring  and or zoom ring would give a perfect picture.  Just like a camera can produce both positive and negative images, so also our minds, based on our focus.
