She’s our Beloved!!

So you are a fellow Nigerian and all you are speaking over this country is them curse words, God is watching you via havens wifi oo.
Anyway, I remember the words of a Nigerian during one of the strike actions in one of the Nigerian Hospitals- he said ‘As long as I am concerned, this nation is gone’
Ah! that sounded like he was placing a spell or something. That was of course not his intentions. But then I realised that sometimes we are limited in the things that we allow ourselves to do ‘for’ the nation if the thoughts we have towards her and the words we speak over her are very much on the negative side. I’m not denying the fact that Nigeria is in a state that’s not encouraging at all but then the least we can do I believe is to do some reshaping by the words we speak.
Before I continue, let me share a little poem I penned down some time ago:

You are a product of what
You hear, see, and do
So also,
She’s a product of what she
Hears, sees and does
Nigeria.

Hey, did you think she would get away with all the curse words that have been said and spoken over her? Do you think its all about the actions and inactions of the leaders of old? Do you think its entirely because they wanted to take up all of the money or because they did not train in some 5 star school abroad? They finished with distinctions in Law, Political science and everything you could think of. But aint nothing changing under the wrong atmosphere. Now, Christ is our redemption. Christ won us as individuals to life and because we are in Christ we can declare and things will fall in place. With every clean word spoken, curse words can be dispelled and one word after another we can shift the atmosphere in the country and in fact in our lives.

You might have come across this popular saying:

‘Your beliefs become your thoughts
Your thoughts become your words
Your words become your actions
Your actions become your habits
Your habits become your values
Your values become your destiny’

You may consider this the most unimportant part of nation building, but you’d realise that whatever you say which most definitely proceeds from what you’ve been thinking,is fundamental in building our nation Nigeria.  Maybe it’s the very change we all need. Maybe it’s the very pathway to the different perspective needed to effect the change we all need. Oh, did I just say maybe? It’s what we need to provoke the change we want.  We are called to be nation builders.

Nigeria is our beloved, she’s the reason God placed us here, she’s ours to build. You just may not be interested in been the president or the governor. You just may not be interested in holding any public position but within the confines of your space you can transform her. And we are much expected to declare wellness over her. I don’t think that God would give us a Nationality and not have us love her right.
My bible puts it this way in Proverbs 18:20- A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruits of his mouth and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.21-death and life are  in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Nigeria is our beloved Nation, for this reason we speak words of life over her.

********
This may help for a start:
Nigeria is blessed and highly favoured,
She’s rising in excellence
She’s coming alive
Her youths are rising to lead her right
Her elders are supporting her growth
She is the pride of many nations
Lines are falling for her in pleasant places.
She’s a delightsome habitation.

May Nigeria be great. I hope you find her worthy of your kind words.
Your fellow Nigerian,
Grace!

My Beloved

If you would let me walk through the corners of your heart   I will take the thorns away with anesthesia enough to take you through I will shine my light in the path for your eyes to see and your feet to walk I will wrap you round in the warmth of my embrace From the cold that gives you frost bite in the feet and a chest pain even on a warm day I know you let some love in the left you broken And now it’s difficult to catch the pieces that remain because your strength is gone I see it all in your eyes, Even though you try to make it seem like you have it all together You have been bought with a prize I took all the brakes in my heart to see you whole I got striped and left in the cold so you could find warmth in me (would be hid in me and stay warm) I’m not about to let you go through all that trauma (again). I did it already, for you, for all So that when you pass through the rivers, you will have me around When you pass though waters, it ...

Faithfulness

Today I want to share something about faithfulness. Faithfulness, according to google,  is the concept of unfailingly remaining  loyal  to someone or something, and putting that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of extenuating circumstances. Literally, it is the state of being full of  faith  in the sense of steady devotion to a person, thing or concept. In my understanding, it is being consistently committed to a course or person regardless of what comes your way. I want to focus on the things that we have been called to do or the things that we find per time to do. Sometimes we can get so lackadaisical about stuff when no one is watching or when others are playing their part. Sometimes its really because we don’t have enough drive to do what we really want to do. Sometimes, factors beyond our control can be the cause. Sometimes its because we have not exactly decided to take up responsibility by ourselves. Sometimes we don’t have knowledge ...

GOD'S PATTERN OF HEALING// PT1

Hello everyone. I hope your week has been good? We'll be going on a journey through the book of Joel. I hope to expose certain things about God's pattern of doing things. You would have to pick up your bible to follow closely. God's ways are not the ways of man at all and the book of Joel paints that picture of how things go with God. I mean, the ways of God. I've come to discover that the ways of God remain the same from generation to generation. Though the situations may be different  but God's patterns are the same yesterday, today and forever. For this reason, the people of the land of Judah in the book of Joel were told to make known the ways of God from generation to generation. Joel 1:3 -  "Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation." Things had gone in disarray on the land and it's a reflection somehow of how things happen in our individual lives. A time came in Judah when...
