'...All these things'

Hmm, so many things taking our attention; here and there. It seems like they all are beautiful/attractive/deeply needed in themselves. Our soul been so thirsty/cries out for it and we deeply assume those things are 'true' thus chasing after them. Spending our time, energy, resource just to make things work/get what exactly it is that attracts us.

Well, its really not a sin; in itself. Its in itself a natural inclination for every human. But there's something I really want to point out here: when what we seek(above all) becomes 'our love for other things' rather than  'our love for God', it becomes an anomaly.

Matthew 6:33King James Version (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Isn't it interesting, how that, the things that shall be added unto us can take up our attention from the love of God(our Father)? Seems like that love is so big, it can attract any good thing (its just like a magnet{attracting iron} or honey {attracting dirt}).
This is to make you understand how delicate that love is and how much it can attract other things (I mean the thing we may be dyeing to get, that drew our attention from him).
The thing is, the love of God builds patience in our lives and if we give ourselves to loving him; he breeds patients in us; taking us through a process that helps us see the beauty of thing in the long run.

Ps.91:14-Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will i deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.(KJV)

God telling us to set our love on him is His way of making sure no contaminants stay in our hearts and our lives are not hung on material things that'll fade away someday. Its his way of making our heart go on whether things exist or not. God telling us to set our eyes on him is his way of grooming our hearts. And we can be rest assured that if our hearts go on, we can walk in his will(not just permissible but perfect will).

In my last blog post 'preparation' I explained how that God always wants to prepare us for what he has prepared for us; his love is the basis for all good things: that'll last a life time; thus his desire for us to set our love on Him

Its really been a while I've been here. I've really missed(writing) you all. Anyway you have a blessed day and catch y'all later.

Doors Do Open

Have you ever felt like you have exhausted all of your options and you can’t seem to find a way out?  Or you know that there is more that can be out of a case you are on? I can’t imagine what the widow whose husband left some debts for her to pay before he died must have gone through. Wait, you think all that happened is all there is. In the sense, you have pressed all your buttons and made all your moves. Knocked all the doors you know and made the calls. You now think its over. You think there’s no way out again? Be there! You seem to have forgotten so quick that God is the one that makes things happen. Look at the widow whose husband left her in debt. She was broke. No money no possession my sons up for sale kindof broke. Her two sons were going to be taken captive to pay for the debts that was on ground. Of course she was devastated. She had no possession to sell to get some money. The only thing she knew to do was to go meet Elisha who her husband served with. ...

Gods word as our reality

If anything would go through our spirit to our soul and then to reality, its going to pass through our mind. And if anything is going to have an impact on the spirit it would go through the mind. And so the mind is the place where a thing really is made or mared. It's where we either get an headway or remain stranded/on the same spot/can't see a way. It's the battlefield as it's often put. 2Cor.10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; This passage makes us to see that imaginations and thoughts have a way of exhausting themselves above the knowledge of God in our minds and we are the ones to do the job of making sure the word of God is the status quo of our mind...finding out what the word of God says and making it preeminence over and above any other thought. re-enforcing what the word of God says. Capturing God's idea(word) in ou...

The Black Bag

Running over from the end of the class where I was sitting to my course mate,I sat on the chair next to him as I placed his school bag on my legs. Staring at the bag for a while,I said, precious Holy Spirit please teach me a lesson from this bag. It was a black leather-like bag with patches on the side(some parts of the bag peeled off). As I starred at the bag I asked my course mate-How old is this bag? He said to me,its about a year old. Its amazing how people tend to defend their actions even before you make your comment(He was already giving me reasons the bag looked that old/tattered). I discovered the bag was too good to be that tattered at less than one year. That was the lesson right there: There are people who are strong and passionate, vibrant and active, with so much beauty radiating from their inside out. But then situations in life may rise up,some beyond human control, some at the mercy of human that could make someone as good as that black leather bag become so tattered li...
