There is one thing that stood out for King Solomon in the bible and this was the fact that he gave God the best. What does the best mean? “ of the most excellent or desirable type or quality. ” “ to the highest degree ” “ that which is the most excellent, outstanding, or desirable. ” “ of the highest quality, or being  the most suitable, pleasing, or effective type of thing or person ”   In order words, giving God our best is giving him the most excellent or desirable per time, or the highest degree of  a thing. This will mean different things for all of us per time but will mean the same thing to God. Ø  Solomon gave the best of materials and even craftsmen in order to build the temple of God according to 2Chronicles.3:10-15. As a Christian, in our journey with God, one of the things we must learn to do is knowing how to hear from God: identifying how God deals with us or communicates with you which may be specific for you.  This particular skill is important if we are going to walk effectively with God.   For me, this is one thing that I have sort to grow in during several seasons of my life, and I pray not to outgrow this because I just think there is always a better experience when it comes to God. Why is this important? A documented event in the bible captures some answers to this  question.   There was a young prophet who was sent by God to the then king of Israel, King Jeroboam. The king had begun to engage in things that were against God, as he built shrines for pagan gods and even bowed down to them. I find it an absolute delight to discover things in the scripture and share. It's such a beautiful thing for me.   The just shall live by faith is what scripture says ,  and our faith walk is to be guided by the word of God. Today, I'll be sharing something I found in  the bible steers God on our behalf. Here  it is :   Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble. The Lord protects them and   keeps them alive. He gives them prosperity in the land and rescues them from their enemies. The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health.
