When God gives you a bitter cup!

So I am about to share something I got from the scriptures in recent times and it serves as an encouragement for me too.

I am sure you know the story of Jesus and are very familiar with the incidence of one of his disciples cutting the ear of a guard who as among the troop that came to capture Jesus. In John. 18. If not, you can go read up the whole chapter of John.18.

The very verse I would like to sit on is the 11th.

“So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”

The fact that the it was the Father that gave Jesus this cup is something to consider. We all know what the cup is, in case you don’t, it is the cup of having to die on the cross, having to take up the sin of the whole world because God the Father so loved the world and wanted to reconcile all to him.

There are cups that the Father will give to us every once in a while that won’t be similar to the one that  David described to be running over(Psalm.23:5). There are some of the cups that will be bitter. It may  be so bitter that persons who love us desire to help us out like Peter did. But if it ever gets bitter, it is for the salvation of so many. In this case, Jesus bitter cup was for the salvation of the whole world.

Are you currently drinking from a bitter cup? Please, be encouraged!

Are you currently scared of taking of a bitter cup? Please be courageous!

Have you drank of a bitter cup that ended up been a great blessing? Please share your story to encourage others!

Jesus sure makes bitter cups sweet! The other day, things went sore at the wedding in Cana (John.2:1-12) but Jesus got involved and laughter ensued! No one laughs when its bitter. You can call him in to the situation on ground right now and you can be sure he will be your sure guide. He drank of the bitter cup to give sweetness to all of human-kind!

God bless you!!

Amen!!

Love&Light,

Grace.

My Beloved

If you would let me walk through the corners of your heart   I will take the thorns away with anesthesia enough to take you through I will shine my light in the path for your eyes to see and your feet to walk I will wrap you round in the warmth of my embrace From the cold that gives you frost bite in the feet and a chest pain even on a warm day I know you let some love in the left you broken And now it’s difficult to catch the pieces that remain because your strength is gone I see it all in your eyes, Even though you try to make it seem like you have it all together You have been bought with a prize I took all the brakes in my heart to see you whole I got striped and left in the cold so you could find warmth in me (would be hid in me and stay warm) I’m not about to let you go through all that trauma (again). I did it already, for you, for all So that when you pass through the rivers, you will have me around When you pass though waters, it ...

Meddling?

According to the  Webster Dictionary, to meddle means to interest oneself in what is not one's concern. We live in a time and age where compromise is almost the order of the day. And especially because the concept of 'grace' has been  quite extreme, there's been a lopsided way of life. Grace in itself makes us warriors for us to uphold the standard of God  2Tim.2:4 says  Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. Some of us Christians are awear of the things that are not in keeping with truly walking with God and yet continuing in it with the pride of heart that you know God to an extent. And whilst God is a merciful God,youd be a joker to expect him to entrust parts of him to you if  you keep handling your knowledge of him in unrighteousness. There are areas of God and depts of him that we may never be able to access because of this. Our walk with God is suppo...

Faithfulness

Today I want to share something about faithfulness. Faithfulness, according to google,  is the concept of unfailingly remaining  loyal  to someone or something, and putting that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of extenuating circumstances. Literally, it is the state of being full of  faith  in the sense of steady devotion to a person, thing or concept. In my understanding, it is being consistently committed to a course or person regardless of what comes your way. I want to focus on the things that we have been called to do or the things that we find per time to do. Sometimes we can get so lackadaisical about stuff when no one is watching or when others are playing their part. Sometimes its really because we don’t have enough drive to do what we really want to do. Sometimes, factors beyond our control can be the cause. Sometimes its because we have not exactly decided to take up responsibility by ourselves. Sometimes we don’t have knowledge ...
