When God gives you a bitter cup!

So I am about to share something I got from the scriptures in recent times and it serves as an encouragement for me too.

I am sure you know the story of Jesus and are very familiar with the incidence of one of his disciples cutting the ear of a guard who as among the troop that came to capture Jesus. In John. 18. If not, you can go read up the whole chapter of John.18.

The very verse I would like to sit on is the 11th.

“So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”

The fact that the it was the Father that gave Jesus this cup is something to consider. We all know what the cup is, in case you don’t, it is the cup of having to die on the cross, having to take up the sin of the whole world because God the Father so loved the world and wanted to reconcile all to him.

There are cups that the Father will give to us every once in a while that won’t be similar to the one that  David described to be running over(Psalm.23:5). There are some of the cups that will be bitter. It may  be so bitter that persons who love us desire to help us out like Peter did. But if it ever gets bitter, it is for the salvation of so many. In this case, Jesus bitter cup was for the salvation of the whole world.

Are you currently drinking from a bitter cup? Please, be encouraged!

Are you currently scared of taking of a bitter cup? Please be courageous!

Have you drank of a bitter cup that ended up been a great blessing? Please share your story to encourage others!

Jesus sure makes bitter cups sweet! The other day, things went sore at the wedding in Cana (John.2:1-12) but Jesus got involved and laughter ensued! No one laughs when its bitter. You can call him in to the situation on ground right now and you can be sure he will be your sure guide. He drank of the bitter cup to give sweetness to all of human-kind!

God bless you!!

Amen!!

Love&Light,

Grace.

Doors Do Open

Have you ever felt like you have exhausted all of your options and you can’t seem to find a way out?  Or you know that there is more that can be out of a case you are on? I can’t imagine what the widow whose husband left some debts for her to pay before he died must have gone through. Wait, you think all that happened is all there is. In the sense, you have pressed all your buttons and made all your moves. Knocked all the doors you know and made the calls. You now think its over. You think there’s no way out again? Be there! You seem to have forgotten so quick that God is the one that makes things happen. Look at the widow whose husband left her in debt. She was broke. No money no possession my sons up for sale kindof broke. Her two sons were going to be taken captive to pay for the debts that was on ground. Of course she was devastated. She had no possession to sell to get some money. The only thing she knew to do was to go meet Elisha who her husband served with. ...

GRACE & PROSPERITY

Yesterday (11/06/2021), I had the great honor and privilege to share the word of God with his people and this word really blessed me as well. This is why I am deciding to share it on here, so that, by God’s grace someone might be blessed by it. My home church has this monthly theme we work with and the word for the month is ‘covenant month of prosperity’. The word that was laid in my heart was as touching the prosperity that emanates from God. First of all, I will attempt to define Prosperity.   According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, it is the condition of being successful or thriving, especially economically. I define it as a condition or state of increasing or moving forward in one or more areas of life. Gene.26:13 paints of picture of prosperity. ‘ The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;' (nkjv) It is true that prosperity largely has been seen to be in the area of finances, but I believe so much that it is beyond mon...

I had the utmost privilege of sharing God's word in my local church, and I pray it blesses you.   Ruth.1:16-17- 16  But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.  17  Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the  Lord  punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!”  (NLT)   v  Introduction v  What does it mean to be loyal to the word?(From bible examples) v  Why Loyalty to the word/ Implications of being loyal to the word v  Conclusion v Introduction What does it mean to be a loyal person? Loyalty means being there for someone through the highs and lows, and staying by their side regardless of the circumstances. Loyalty involves accepting and loving someone for who they are, and not threatening to leave them when things become challenging.   Loyal...
