 Last week, we started a study on Philippians 3:10  "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death. We looked at Jesus as the "author" and "finisher" of our faith. That he who has started a thing in us is well able to bring it to past, and so we should rest in Him. Philippians 3:10  "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;" This prayer was made by Apostle Paul and is a very deep one. We will focus on the first part of it- "that I may know Him" Jesus is a lot of things to a lot of people. Some know him on theory basis, while some have experienced his workings in their lives. Today, I will share about Jesus as the "author" and "finisher". As one justified by God, the Lord says we should live by faith. meaning, taking steps based on what the written or the spoken word of God says. Now, when a believer takes steps in line with the word, things may not fall immediately in line as one would expect, and often times, because we are humans, we may begin to bother...

 Isiah45:3 {NLT} And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness—     secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.  The word of God makes us to know that the earth, the world, as a whole is covered with darkness, according to Isaiah 60:2a - " See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, "  This automatically means that before anyone was born at all, the earth swam in darkness and so by default, we live in a world that is dark. But scripture says that light shines in darkness and darkness can't comprehend it. Jesus is this Light that shines in darkness. If you do not have Jesus in your life, I urge you to ask Him in now to be your Lord and Savior.
